Andreas

Andreas is a driven professional with a strong problem-solving mindset who takes on challenges with curiosity and determination. With nearly ten years of experience in engineering data solutions, he has developed the ability to turn complex data into meaningful, actionable insights for business users. He combines technical expertise with a clear understanding of business needs, ensuring his work creates added value. What motivates Andreas most is the opportunity to make a real difference. He enjoys being in roles where his work has a direct impact on business outcomes, whether that involves improving data quality, streamlining processes, or enabling better decision-making. This sense of purpose drives him to continuously improve his skills and stay up to date with developments in the field of data & AI.

Arne

Arne holds a Master's in Business Engineering from Ghent University, specializing in Data Analytics. He works across Databricks, PySpark, and Power BI, with a knack for turning messy business questions into structured data solutions. His master's thesis modeled GDPR compliance using ontologies, which tells you something about how his brain works.

Arno

Arno brings a Business Administration background to the marketing side of Plainsight. He combines commercial thinking with a genuine curiosity about data and technology. Outside of work, he's been playing basketball for over fifteen years and coaches a youth team, which has taught him more about motivation than any management course.

Benoît

Benoît is a data engineer and architect with a Master's in Engineering from Ghent University and a postgraduate in Applied AI. He builds and ships data platforms on Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, holds certifications in all three, and teaches what he builds at Syntra and the Plainsight Academy. Also a regular speaker at data community events.

Bo

Bo is co-founder of Plainsight and has been CEO since 2026. She's not a 100% person, she's a 150% person. Hand her a heavy, complex problem or a thorny strategy question and she's all the way in. Slow and halfway were never really on the menu. What pulls her is the people: helping a customer find the right answer, or watching someone on the team grow into more than they expected. She's rational about almost everything, with one stubborn exception. She backs the helpful call over the commercial one, and she's relaxed about being called naive for it.

Bram

Bram is a senior data scientist with a Master's in Applied Mathematics from Ghent University. He specializes in recommendation systems and production machine learning, with experience across media, e-commerce, and logistics. Before Plainsight, he built the recommendation engines behind VRT MAX and automated processes at BNP Paribas Fortis. Off the clock, he performs in musical theater.

David

David is co-founder of Plainsight and has been in data and analytics for well over fifteen years. He's held every role from developer to program manager, and has led data strategy and architecture for organizations like Delhaize, VDAB, Fluvius, and Barco. He completed Vlerick's Advanced Management Programme, which says as much about how he thinks about business as it does about data.

Dennis

Dennis has been working in data and analytics for over half a decade, most of it centered on Power BI. He studied Management and IT at Ghent University and specializes in translating analytics requirements from business stakeholders into reports that actually get used. When he's not building dashboards, he's playing guitar through a Marshall amp at a volume his neighbors tolerate.

Ernest

Ernest studied Business Engineering at Ghent University with a Data Analytics specialization and spent an Erasmus year at the Technical University of Munich. He works as a data engineer on international projects, bringing the structured thinking of a business engineer to the messy reality of data pipelines. He once outran a crocodile in Bolivia, which probably helps with tight deadlines.

Esli

Esli has a background in applied informatics and several years of hands-on experience in data analytics. He specializes in Power BI and Azure, building reports and dashboards from requirements through to delivery. Colleagues know him as the person who quietly gets things done, usually with a padel racket in his bag.

Evy

Evy studied Applied Linguistics and Multilingual Communication at Ghent University, with a focus on English and Spanish. She now brings that background in language, people, and connection to recruitment at Plainsight. She's the person who figures out whether someone is a good fit, and she's usually right.

Femke

Femke is a certified Power BI Data Analyst with a background in front-end development and UI/UX design. She brings a visual eye to reporting that most data consultants don't have, which means her dashboards don't just work, they look like someone actually thought about the person reading them.

Gert-Jan

Gert-Jan came into data through a data science bootcamp and has been building end-to-end data solutions since. He works across Azure, dbt, and Fabric, with a particular focus on the modeling and transformation layer. Before Plainsight, he traveled New Zealand for three months in a campervan. He now channels that same adventurous streak into paragliding and mountain climbing.

Henri

Henri pairs a background in applied informatics with a real curiosity for how people and technology connect, which makes him feel right at home in the world of data. Over the past few years he has built solid experience in data analytics, turning complex datasets into insights that make a difference. He likes to understand customers on a deeper level and has a talent for translating their questions into well-defined, forward-looking ideas. He has a strong fascination with data and enjoys finding ways to make both his work and personal life smarter and more efficient through data-driven insights. That curiosity, combined with his broad skill set and enthusiasm, makes him someone who can turn raw data into meaningful, valuable outcomes.

Jana

Jana graduated in Business Engineering with a Data Analytics specialization from Ghent University. She builds dataflows, datasets, and Power BI reports across sales, marketing, and operations. She's the kind of person who enjoys a good pattern in data the way other people enjoy a good trail on a hike.

Jesse

Jesse studied Business and Information Systems Engineering and started his career at Plainsight. He builds Power BI solutions and enjoys the part where a well-designed report actually saves someone an hour of manual work. His first paycheck went to a LEGO Millennium Falcon, which tells you everything about his patience for complex assembly.

Joran

Joran studied Business Engineering at Ghent University and has built a career in data and AI. He co-founded the Generative AI Meetup Group (3,000+ members) and previously launched his own GenAI startup. At Plainsight, he leads AI implementations on Azure, from custom agents and chatbots to Copilot integrations.

Jord

Jord spent over a decade in academia, earning a PhD in Economic History and graduate degrees from Antwerp, Ghent, Leiden, Paris, and Oxford, before discovering that data engineering scratches the same itch as quantitative research. He brings deep analytical rigor and the communication skills of someone who's managed research teams and university policy. Avid padel player.

Karim

Karim is a certified Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst with several years of consulting experience. He covers the full cycle from ETL pipelines to visualization, with a particular focus on operations and insurance analytics. He has a habit of automating anything repetitive, which means he's always discovering new tools in the process.

Lander

Lander holds a degree in Computer Science with an AI specialization from VUB. He's worked as a data engineer, data scientist, and data lead at a startup in Eindhoven before joining Plainsight. He's most at home when cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and AI all connect into one coherent picture. Happiest in mountains, whether skiing or hiking.

Lennert

Lennert studied Business Engineering at Ghent University with a specialization in Data Analytics. He works end-to-end in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, from data ingestion and modeling to visualization. He approaches problems with the kind of logical structure you'd expect from someone who once canoed the Swedish-Norwegian border with friends.

Lotte

Lotte brings deep experience in data and AI, with a focus on the business side: strategy, roadmaps, and making sure technical solutions actually land in practice. She studied Economics in Leuven and is at her best bridging the gap between technical teams and business leaders. Also a proud mum and a fifteen-year veteran of youth movement leadership.

Lotte

Lotte spent eleven years teaching math, chemistry, and biology in secondary school before swapping the classroom for HR and Finance at Plainsight. She's the person who loves a good checklist, gets things in order, and somehow always has time to help. Sitting still is not really her thing. Off the clock, you'll find her at a restaurant, out for a long walk, or catching up with friends.

Merlijn

Merlijn has already spent more than two decades in IT, first as a consultant in the Microsoft device and identity management stack, more recently building with generative AI. Outside of work he holds a CPL(H) - a commercial helicopter pilot licence - rides motorbikes and shares his home with his wife Tamara, their husky Mina and at times up to 6 extra dogs in their dog hotel.

Neil

Neil studied Applied Computer Science with a focus on Business Intelligence and has been building data platforms for several years. He works across Azure, Databricks, and Power BI, with a strong focus on data engineering and platform architecture. Efficiency is his thing: if something can be automated or streamlined, he'll find the way.

Nick

Nick holds a PhD in theoretical quantum physics from the University of Antwerp and has spent the past decade applying that problem-solving instinct to data engineering and data science. He lives by Kent Beck's principle: make it work, make it right, make it fast. Outside work, he's a certified canyoning instructor and guitar player.

Philipp

Philipp started in physics and pivoted to data through a Master's in Statistical Data Analysis at Ghent University. He spent several years at Capgemini working on Azure and Databricks for clients like Proximus, Coca-Cola, Aldi, and Atlas Copco. His master's thesis used machine learning to predict disruptions in nuclear fusion plasma, which is a solid conversation starter.

Pieter

Pieter is not someone who entered the world of technology through a classic data-only path. His background is rooted in software development, digital innovation, operations and project delivery. Over more than 17 years, he has worked on enterprise platforms, IoT products, cloud transformations and development teams, gradually seeing how data became the thread connecting business questions, product decisions and technical architecture. That broad experience now comes together in his work around AI and GenAI. Pieter enjoys building practical systems that turn new technology into something teams can actually use: from secure engineering workflows and cloud-native platforms to MCP integrations, knowledge systems and AI-assisted tooling. At Plainsight, he brings a mix of hands-on technical curiosity, delivery experience, and a strong focus on making complex ideas operational.

Robrecht

Robrecht studied Information Management and has been working in data engineering since. He started in technical frameworks and support, then moved into building and maintaining data pipelines. He's the kind of person who's always been curious about how companies store and use their data, which is exactly why he ended up doing this for a living.

Roy

Roy is a data scientist with a Computer Science background specializing in AI and Big Data. He has worked across telecom, banking, healthcare, and public-sector organizations, supporting clients in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He likes end-to-end solutions and plans his holidays with the same precision he brings to data pipelines: spreadsheet and all.

Sander

Sander is co-founder of Plainsight and has been architecting data platforms for over a decade. He specializes in Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric, and holds certifications including Azure Solution Architect Expert and Azure AI Engineer. He's built platforms for clients like Torfs, Barco, Atrias, and Lhoist, and regularly speaks at data community events.

Sophia

Sophia studied Business Engineering at Ghent University with a specialization in Data Analytics. She builds ETL pipelines, datasets, and reports, and has hands-on experience with AI applications. Data runs in the family: both her brother and father work in the field, so she was arguably destined for this.

Watse

Watse studied Business Administration at Ghent University with a Master's in Management and IT. He's been working in data analytics since before the AI hype, back when Stack Overflow was your only lifeline. He works across PySpark, SQL, and Python on Azure, and has the quiet confidence of someone who's seen the tooling change but the fundamentals stay the same.

Wiebe

Wiebe studied Business Engineering at KU Leuven and works as a data engineer and analyst. He's good at the part most people skip: translating what the business actually needs into a technical solution that holds up. Quiet, effective, and happiest when cycling, playing padel, or finishing a book.
