Meet Lotte
Lotte spent eleven years teaching math, chemistry, and biology in secondary school before swapping the classroom for HR and Finance at Plainsight. She's the person who loves a good checklist, gets things in order, and somehow always has time to help. Sitting still is not really her thing. Off the clock, you'll find her at a restaurant, out for a long walk, or catching up with friends.
We asked Lotte some thoughtful questions
Lotte, you taught for eleven years. What made you switch to HR and Finance?
I taught math, chemistry, and biology in secondary school for eleven years, and I really enjoyed it. But at some point I started craving a different kind of challenge. I love checking things off a list, helping people sort things out, and getting the small stuff in order so the bigger stuff can run. HR and Finance turned out to be a surprisingly natural fit for all of that.
Why did you specifically choose Plainsight?
The culture, more than anything. I was looking for a young company where everyone actually knows everyone, and that's exactly what Plainsight is. The open feedback culture is something I really appreciate too. People here say what they mean in a kind way, which makes working together much easier.
What does your work at Plainsight actually look like?
HR and Finance, which in practice means about 1001 different tasks rolled into one role. That variety is the part I like most. Every day looks different, and I'd rather juggle ten things at once than spend a full day on one.
What do you do when you're not at work?
I'm not great at sitting still, so you'll usually find me out for dinner with friends, going for a long walk, or catching up with someone over coffee. I get a lot of energy from being around people and being busy. Quiet evenings at home are the exception, not the rule.
