Meet Lotte
She studied Economics in Leuven, but her curiosity quickly drew her into the world of data through a young potential traineeship. From there, she moved into consulting, where she found her sweet spot: working on the business side of data and AI.
Today, with over eight years of experience, she is at her best when she can bridge the gap between technical teams and business leaders, translating ambition into solutions that truly work in practice.
Beyond work, she is a proud mum of a 10-month-old daughter and a former youth movement leader, where she spent 15 years learning the value of engagement, responsibility, and teamwork. She is driven by curiosity, collaboration, and creating impact that truly matters.
We asked lotte some thoughtful questions:
lotte, how did you discover your passion for data?
My interest in data grew gradually, through experience. I saw projects succeed or fail based on the decisions behind them, and data was often the difference.
When data is used wel, things simply work better. Conversations become clearer, expectations are aligned and teams move in the same direction. I like helping organisations get there, by connecting insights to real decisions and making sure everyone understands what the data actually means.
That’s how I help bridge the gap between BI dashboards, IT roadmaps and truly data-driven ways of working. So data doesn’t just exist, but actually gets used.
Why did you specifically choose Plainsight?
I chose Plainsight because it aligns strongly with how I like to work and grow. I immediately felt a lot of warmth, trust and genuine focus on people’s strengths.
What stood out to me was how open everyone is to honest feedback, not for the sake of being right, but to keep moving forward together. There’s a true knowledge-sharing culture, where people genuinely want to learn from each other and help each other grow. And all of that serves a bigger purpose: delivering better value for our clients.
What was your first month at Plainsight like?
I’m still getting used to the flat organisational structure. Everyone is incredibly down-to-earth, with a real “Have an idea? Just go for it” mindset. And I genuinely like it!
It’s refreshing and energizing and I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone even better. Starting tonight, at our Christmas party!
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I would pick the superpower to give people energy. One small boost when they’re stuck, tired or overthinking things. And then suddenly, everything feels possible again!
