Data and AI Strategist

You're the person clients call when they have an AI ambition but no idea where to start, or a data platform nobody really uses, or three teams with three different versions of the truth. You figure out where data and AI actually help, and where they don't.

What you'll work on

You deliver the work that lives behind our strategy offering: turning business questions into a clear direction for data and AI. That means workshops with leadership, use case prioritisation, roadmaps that survive contact with reality, and the unglamorous follow-up work that decides whether anything actually happens after the deck.

Three things show up in almost every engagement:

  • Direction. Where should data and AI contribute? You connect business ambitions to priorities that are realistic, not trendy.
  • Ownership and governance. Who decides. Who owns. Where teams need room to move, and where consistency matters more.
  • Adoption. A strategy is only as good as the people willing to live with it. You bring the change, communication, and AI-literacy work that makes the difference.

Some engagements lean more towards platform architecture (Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks). Others lean towards AI use case discovery and prioritisation. Most have a bit of both.

What you bring

Senior-ish experience in data and analytics. You've seen a platform succeed, you've seen one fail, and you can usually tell the difference inside the first hour of meetings. Comfortable explaining technical trade-offs to a CFO and business trade-offs to an engineer. Both end up at the table.

A baseline of coding and architectural knowledge helps: not because you'll be writing pipelines, but because the strategy needs to land in something engineers can actually build.

How we work

We code as agentically as we can across the company. Even non-coding roles get exposed to it. If you already use Claude or similar tools for research, drafting, and analysis, that's a plus. If not, you'll pick it up here.

We pair with our clients' teams and try to leave them owning the strategy, not depending on us to refresh it every quarter.
