Fabric Analyst in a Day

About the workshop

Together with Microsoft, we hosted a free, one-day Fabric Analyst in a Day at the Voka building in Gent. It was built for Power BI analysts who already knew Power BI but had not worked with Microsoft Fabric yet.

Most teams we work with have their data spread across too many places, and they want answers faster without losing control over who sees what. The day showed how Fabric handles that in one platform: Data Engineering, Data Factory, Data Science, Real-Time Intelligence, Data Warehouse and Power BI, side by side.

What participants learned

It was a hands-on, intermediate-level day. Participants worked through how to:

• Judge when Fabric makes sense for their organization, and when it does not
• Bring data from several sources together with Shortcuts, Dataflows Gen 2 and Pipelines
• Build Power BI reports and dashboards on top of that data
• Leave with practical next steps for their own team
