Business developer data & ai

What we expect from you

As a Business Developer Data & AI, you combine hunter and farmer roles: you build new business and maintain existing client relationships. You work closely with the founders, consultants, and marketing team. As one of the first commercial profiles within Plainsight, you will have plenty of room to help build structures and processes.

New business & prospecting

  • Actively prospect and identify new commercial opportunities.

  • Follow up on leads resulting from webinars, events, whitepapers, and marketing campaigns.

  • Prepare and co-lead intake meetings with (potential) clients.

  • Propose the right consultants and expertise to new clients.

Presales & commercial support

  • Prepare client meetings (research, agenda, use cases, proposals).

  • Support the drafting of quotations and commercial proposals.

  • Contribute to building and monitoring a structured sales process (CRM, pipeline, reporting).

Account management & customer experience

  • Follow up on ongoing client engagements and safeguard customer satisfaction.

  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Contribute to a consistent and positive customer experience.

Public tenders & administration

  • Follow up on opportunities in public tenders.

  • Prepare, coordinate, and submit tender dossiers.

  • Administrative follow-up of the sales process (CRM, files, deadlines, reporting).

Ecosystem & events

  • Collaborate with marketing on organizing sales and marketing events.

  • Help build relationships with technology and ecosystem partners.

Attitude

You do not need to be a technical expert, but you do have basic knowledge of Data & AI and, above all, a strong interest in learning more. You feel at home in a consulting environment where content and customer value are central (and where lunch table conversations are sometimes exclusively about Data & AI).

Must-haves

  • Interest in or experience with consulting sales (not a pure SaaS role).

  • Fluent communication in Dutch and English.

  • Structured and accurate way of working, including administrative tasks.

  • Proactive mindset and sense of responsibility.

  • Category B driver’s license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with public tenders or the public sector.

  • Knowledge of French.

  • Experience with CRM tools or sales processes.

We are mainly looking for a medior or senior profile. However, if someone without experience applies with the right drive (“grinta”), we are also open to that.
